China formally notified the WTO on Tuesday that it will no longer receive foreign rubbish from the end of this year, including discarding plastic, paper, scrap slag and textiles.

Reported that China is the world's major trash importing countries, receiving 56% of the world's trash, last year imported more than 7.3 million tonnes, worth 3.7 billion US dollars.

According to the WTO data, not counting Hong Kong, the major waste plastics in China come from Japan and the United States.
